Who Can Apply & Regional Quotas

The school primarily recruits junior high school graduates who participate in Guangdong Province's 2026 middle school entrance exam (中考), with a focus on current-year graduates from Guangzhou.

Important restrictions: The Zhongben Tongpei (3+4) bachelor's pathway exclusively accepts current-year Guangzhou middle school graduates. The San-Er Fenduan (3+2) pathway accepts current-year graduates from any city in Guangdong. Out-of-province recruitment is generally not arranged.

At least 90% of total enrollment spots are reserved for Guangzhou-registered students. The remaining spots may be allocated to cities within Guangdong Province with a larger student pool. Final approved figures are determined by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Education and the Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Education.

Out-of-province students who intend to sit the gaokao (university entrance exam) in Guangdong must carefully review the relevant provincial policies on migrant children's participation in higher education to avoid affecting their eligibility for college transfer or exams.

How Admissions Work

The school follows a comprehensive evaluation and merit-based selection process, using middle school academic performance and overall quality assessment results to determine admission, proceeding from the highest scores downward by batch.

Tiered Filing System

Admission follows a "tiered filing, preference-first, select-best" approach. Applicants are sorted into tiers based on score thresholds. Within each tier, students are ranked by first-choice school preference; among those choosing the same school, ranking is by score from highest to lowest. Ties in total score are broken using official Guangzhou and Guangdong exam tiebreaker rules.

Major Adjustment Policy

If a student's applied programs are all full, and they have agreed to major adjustments, they will be reassigned to an unfilled program in order of total score (highest first), provided they meet that program's requirements. Students who do not agree to adjustments, or who are ineligible for remaining programs due to health or other reasons, will be withdrawn from consideration.

San-Er Fenduan (3+2) Transfer Rules

Students enrolled in the 3+2 pathway complete 3 years of secondary vocational study. Upon passing the transfer examination and meeting all conditions, they proceed to 2 years at the partner college and, upon graduation, receive the partner college's associate degree. Students who enrolled in 2026 will complete the transfer exam in 2029.

Zhongben Tongpei (3+4) Transfer Rules

Students in the 3+4 pathway spend their first 3 years at this school under secondary vocational regulations. After passing the transfer assessment, they enroll at Guangzhou Vocational University of Technology for 4 years (bachelor's level). Upon graduation, they receive both a bachelor's degree certificate and a degree certificate from the partner university.

Score benchmark: Out-of-city applicants' scores are converted against Guangzhou's 2026 total of 810 points as the reference baseline for proportional comparison.

Bonus Points & Special Policies

Bonus points and preferential admission policies are strictly implemented according to items and values published by the Guangdong Provincial Examination Institute and the Guangzhou Municipal Admissions Office. No school-specific additions apply.

The school's foreign language of instruction is English. There is generally no set male-to-female ratio for enrollment.

Health & Physical Standards

Physical examination standards follow regulations issued by the Ministry of Education, health management authorities, and the China Disabled Persons' Federation. Applicants with disabilities who can manage daily life independently and meet program requirements may be admitted normally if their academic scores reach the admission threshold.

After enrollment, new students undergo a health re-examination. Those found to not meet physical requirements for their enrolled program may be reassigned to a different program or have their enrollment cancelled. Note: students in the 3+2 and 3+4 pathways can only be reassigned to standard 3-year programs.
