Studying abroad can be a transformative experience, but managing tuition fees is often a key concern for international students. If you’re planning to study at IBS (International Business School) Hungary, the IBS Academic Scholarship offers a valuable opportunity to reduce your tuition costs based on your academic performance.
This scholarship provides partial tuition fee reductions for high-achieving BSc students, rewarding consistent effort and strong academic results. Below is everything you need to know.
What Is the IBS Academic Scholarship?
The IBS Academic Scholarship offers semester-based tuition fee reductions. The scholarship does not provide cash; instead, IBS covers a percentage of your semesterly tuition fee.
Students may apply starting from their second active semester, based on their academic results from the previous semester.
Two scholarship structures apply depending on your start year.
For Students Starting in Semester 2024-25/2 or Earlier
Category I — 75% Tuition Fee Reduction
Eligibility:
- Completed all required modules for the semester
- Achieved “pass plus” in all modules assessed on a 3-grade scale
- Earned an average of 79% or higher in 100-grade scale modules
- Tuition fee is paid in Euros
Category II — 50% Tuition Fee Reduction
Eligibility:
- Completed all required modules for the semester
- Achieved “pass plus” in all 3-grade scale modules
- Earned an average of 76% or higher in 100-grade scale modules
- Tuition fee is paid in Euros
Important Notes:
- First application is possible after completing your first semester
- Students cannot apply for semesters involving work placement or study abroad
- Results from those semesters also cannot be used for later applications
For Students Starting in Semester 2025-26/1 or Later
IBS introduced a more detailed scholarship structure with five categories to reward excellence more precisely.
Category I — 100% Tuition Fee Reduction
- Completed all required modules
- Average of 90% or higher
Category II — 75% Tuition Fee Reduction
- Completed all required modules
- Average of 85% or higher
Category III — 50% Tuition Fee Reduction
- Completed all required modules
- Average of 80% or higher
Category IV — 25% Tuition Fee Reduction
- Completed all required modules
- Average of 75% or higher
Category V — 10% Tuition Fee Reduction
- Completed all required modules
- Average of 70% or higher
Note: The “semesterly tuition fee instalment” equals one-sixth of the total programme fee.

The Rector’s decision will be communicated by the Centre for Student Services.
How to Apply to IBS Hungary (Through AUFIN)
Before applying for the scholarship, you must first secure admission to IBS Hungary.
All applicants can apply through AUFIN, the official education partner that assists with document preparation and student visa guidance.
